Mosto Presents FERMENTO Vol. 5
This 15 October, Wednesday, Mosto presents the 5th volume of FERMENTO, which leans into Alsace, with Les Vins Pirouettes on pour, joined by special guest Alicia Mérimé.
Les Vins Pirouettes is a collective of independent organic and biodynamic growers from Alsace, each farming their own fruit and making wine in their own cellar, built around natural fermentation and minimal intervention. The lineup moves through the grapes Alsace does best, from Riesling and Gewürztraminer to Pinot Gris, Auxerrois and Pinot Noir.
Each wine pours by the glass for the night:
Tutti Frutti – Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Muscat, Gewürztraminer 2021
White peach, pear and citrus, with fresh flowers and a dry finish.
Plasma – Riesling 2016
Citrus and green apple, with stone fruit and mineral notes, closing on a long finish.
Eros – Muscat, Gewürztraminer, Riesling 2024
An orange wine with citrus and peach, exotic fruit, and light skin-contact texture.
Espectacular – Auxerrois, Gewürztraminer, Riesling 2019
Orange peel and apricot, with stone fruit, gentle tannins and a savoury finish.
Michel – Pinot Noir 2022
Cherry and raspberry from 40-year-old vines, aged nine months in wooden vats after skin maceration.
Mosto-style snacks will move through the table alongside.
