Pad Pool Bar – A Stunning Spot for Mojitos, Burgers and Long Afternoons

Set beside the main infinity pool at Umana Bali, Pad Pool Bar is where the resort’s afternoons tend to happen. Their own motto is “why limit happy to an hour”, and that pretty much sums up the mood.

Service here is attentive without being fussy. Attendants come by with frozen fruit and mini smoothies, and there’s fruit-infused water, fresh fruit, sunscreen and magazines on hand, so you never really need to get up from your lounger.

Open daily from 11am to 11pm, Pad keeps the menu simple: burgers, buns and skewers, best paired with a pineapple ginger mojito or a cold glass of rosé. It’s also where Umana runs its arak tasting, a good introduction to Bali’s local spirit in rather nicer surroundings than usual.

Whether you’re after a poolside lunch, an afternoon drink or a nightcap under the stars, Pad Pool Bar is an easy place to lose a few hours. Which, to be fair, is the point.
