Veluvana Bali | Bamboo House

Veluvana is one of Sidemen’s most enchanting bamboo stays, a hillside sanctuary where quiet moments come naturally. Surrounded by rice terraces and open valley views, it’s the kind of place that makes you slow down without even trying.

Each villa is shaped from handcrafted bamboo, designed with sustainability in mind and built to sit gently within the landscape. Interiors feel warm and organic, while the outdoor spaces open to sweeping views of Mount Agung. Most villas come with a private pool that blends into the terrain, giving the sense that it’s part of the valley itself.

During our stay, we experienced two very different corners of Veluvana. The Squid Villa comes with its own water slide — a playful touch that fits perfectly with the setting. The Fun Villa and Turtle Villa feature twin pools and wide views across the valley. Both offer some of the best sunrise moments in Sidemen, especially when the first light hits Mount Agung.

Veluvana is a lovely reminder to pause, to reconnect with nature, and to enjoy the slower rhythm of East Bali. A peaceful escape that feels far from everything, yet exactly where you want to be.

Tip: Wake up early. Sunrise here is spectacular, especially on clear mornings when Mount Agung is fully visible.
