There’s something hypnotic about Nari. Maybe it’s the flicker of open flame in the kitchen, the way the jungle spills out in every direction, or that quiet moment when the sun sinks behind the rooftops of Gunung Lebah Temple. Either way, this fire-influenced bistro isn’t just a place to eat, it’s a full sensory experience.
Set in the heritage Beggar’s Bush building, Nari leans into its setting with a menu that’s rooted in tradition but cooked over flame. Lunch and dinner bring the goods: house-made urutan sausage, black Angus ribeye charred to perfection, and standout vegetarian dishes like grilled cabbage with burnt miso butter and pangrattato. It’s ingredient-first, smoke-kissed, and balanced just right.
Cocktail hour here is a vibe. Sit back with a natural wine or a craft cocktail in hand, take in the Ubud skyline, and snack your way into the evening with refined bar bites made for grazing.
Blanco Studio’s design language is woven into every surface, earth tones, raw textures, and subtle nods to Balinese dance. Nari means “to dance,” after all, and that fluid, expressive energy is present throughout the space, from the layout to the menu’s rhythm.
Ubud’s dining scene has its moments — this is one of them.
