Clifftop Club Night at Savaya with Yousuke Yukimatsu (¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U)
Yousuke Yukimatsu, styled ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U for reasons best left to him, plays Savaya on Friday 6 November. If the name rings a bell, it’s probably because of his Boiler Room set in Tokyo, the one that went round the internet with the DJ shirtless, soaked through and very clearly enjoying himself. It’s now one of the most watched sets Boiler Room has ever put out.
The backstory is better than most. He’s from Osaka, spent years DJing alongside a day job in construction, and was the DJ other DJs talked about long before the rest of us caught on. These days that means Berghain, a sunset slot at Coachella and a place in DJ Mag’s Top 100.
What he actually plays is harder to pin down. Trance, house, gabber, trap and noise all turn up, sometimes within the same ten minutes, and he’s known for never playing the same set twice. We can’t tell you what you’ll hear on the night. Neither, we suspect, can he.
Doors open at 3pm. General admission is Rp900,000 and the event is strictly 21+, so bring valid ID. Savaya is cashless, and tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. VIP tables can be booked through Savaya’s website
