Reunion in the Kitchen: Ragazzi Takes Over Santanera

On 19 and 20 July 2025, Santanera in Canggu hosts an exclusive kitchen takeover by one of Sydney’s most celebrated chefs, Scott McComas-Williams, Executive Chef of the Love Tilly Group and the creative force behind Ragazzi, Sydney’s go-to spot for handmade pasta and boundary-pushing Italian flavours. For two days only, Bali diners can experience the spirit of one of Australia’s most respected kitchens—right here in the heart of Canggu.

Scott’s return to the pass at Santanera is more than just a guest chef appearance—it’s a reunion. He and Santanera’s own Chef Andrés Becerra first cooked side-by-side in the fast-paced kitchen of MoVida Aqui, Melbourne, more than a decade ago. This event brings their friendship full circle, blending nostalgia with next-level flavour.

The five-course set menu is a refined tribute to Ragazzi’s ingredient-driven philosophy. It opens with burrata, artichokes, and burnt onion oil with woodfired potato bread, followed by anchovies on sourdough with Ragazzi’s butter. A punchy Bluefin Tuna Crudo leads into the signature pastas—Cacio e Pepe Spaghetti, Jerusalem Artichoke Rotolo, and an optional Scallop & Prawn Fagottini. Guests can elevate their plates further with freshly shaved Australian winter truffle. The main course is a Carrara Wagyu Picanha Steak finished with Salato butter, and dessert closes the evening with a rich Salted Caramel & Chocolate Tart served with vanilla gelato.

This special event takes place over dinner on Saturday, 19 July from 6:00 PM until late, and lunch on Sunday, 20 July from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

The set menu is priced at IDR 850,000++ per person, with an optional wine pairing and an IDR 250,000 deposit required to secure your seat.
