6 of the Best Seminyak Cocktail Bars We Love

seminyak bar, bali party

Seminyak has always known how to do a good night out, but over the years its cocktail scene has quietly grown into something far more interesting. From hidden speakeasies and hotel rooftop bars to neighbourhood favourites that take their drinks seriously, this part of Bali now offers some of the most compelling places to sip a well-made cocktail. Whether you are in the mood for a classic Negroni, an espresso martini with a twist, or a tropical creation that still feels balanced and grown-up, the cocktail bars in Seminyak deliver far more than just pretty views and loud playlists.

This is a guide shaped by how we actually drink here. The places we return to when friends are in town, when we want a proper sundowner, or when one cocktail quietly turns into three. These are our six favourite spots for cocktails in Seminyak, chosen for their atmosphere, their attention to detail, and the kind of drinks that make you pause mid-sip and smile.

Revolver Seminyak

Revolver may have built its name on coffee, but for us it has always been just as much about cocktails. Tucked behind its discreet alleyway entrance on Jalan Kayu Aya, it is one of those Seminyak spots that moves effortlessly from daytime caffeine to late-afternoon drinks without ever losing its buzz. By the time the light starts to soften, the bar comes into its own.

The real draw for cocktail lovers is The Rev Up!, Revolver’s daily happy hour running from 4pm to 7pm, and easily one of our favourite ways to start an evening in Seminyak. For IDR 50K++, you get access to a tightly curated selection of their most popular drinks, and it would honestly be a missed opportunity not to try all three. The Revs Nitro Espresso Martini is smooth, rich, and perfectly bitter, the Skinny Margarita hits that crisp, refreshing note that works in Bali’s heat, while the Revs Spritz is light and easy to sip. Add the Kura Kura Island Ale into the mix and you have everything you need for a laid-back but very satisfying session.

It is casual, it is social, and it always feels good to be there. Revolver proves that great coffee and great cocktails can live very happily under the same roof.

Aoku Bar

Aoku Bar is one of Petitenget’s best-kept secrets that is located on level 2 of Dahana Restaurant, a quiet speakeasy designed for people who care about how a cocktail is made, not how loud the room is. Created by Kensho Hirai, the man behind Aoku, the bar is built around the idea of bespoke drinks, with every cocktail shaped by conversation, mood, and personal taste rather than a fixed menu.

The space itself feels deliberately restrained and intimate, drawing you into a slower, more considered way of drinking. This is not a place for rushed rounds or flashy theatre. Instead, the focus stays on balance, technique, and the quiet pleasure of a drink made specifically for you.

Our go-to here is Kind of Blue, a beautifully layered cocktail that captures both Japan and Indonesia in a single glass. Matcha leads with its soft bitterness, while local Balinese ingredients add warmth and rhythm, all carried by the smooth depth of Nikka whisky. It is the kind of drink that makes you pause mid-sip, which is exactly the point.

Aoku is ideal for late nights, long conversations, and moments that deserve something a little more thoughtful than the usual bar scene.

Seken Jazz & Cocktails

Seken is one of those places that feels like it exists for people who truly enjoy the ritual of going out. Set just above Jalan Kayu Aya, this jazz and cocktail bar brings together live music and carefully made drinks in a way that feels natural rather than staged. The room is dim, warm, and quietly stylish, the kind of place you go when you want the night to unfold rather than rush past you.

Cocktails here are treated with the same care as the music. The menu leans into thoughtful combinations, with spirits, citrus, and botanicals balanced to create drinks that feel smooth, layered, and easy to keep sipping. There is a sense that every glass is made to match the mood of the room, not just the recipe.

What really defines Seken is the way the jazz flows through the space. Live sets give the bar its rhythm, turning a simple drink into part of something more atmospheric. It is intimate without being stiff, stylish without trying too hard, and ideal for evenings that start with one cocktail and end much later than planned.

The Bar by Takumi

Tucked upstairs at Takumi, The Bar is one of Seminyak’s most quietly refined places to drink. It feels worlds away from the street outside, a calm, intimate room built around Japanese drinking culture and careful curation rather than noise or spectacle. This is a bar for people who enjoy slowing down with a glass in hand and letting flavour do the talking.

The focus here is on sake, Japanese whisky, and a tightly edited wine list. Sake lovers will find a thoughtful range that covers everything from junmai to ginjo, with bottles chosen for their balance, depth, and expression rather than big-name labels. The whisky selection leans just as considered, moving from soft, floral styles to richer, more powerful profiles that reward sipping. For wine drinkers, the list brings together limited vintages from respected regions, designed to work just as well on their own as alongside Takumi’s food.

Seasonal cocktails add another layer to the experience, and for celebrations, XO Kodawari is the one to order. Built around Patrón XO Café and cold brew espresso, it brings together Aperol chocolate ganache, vegan yuzu chocolate foam, gingerbread, and caramelised sugar, paired with Osaka purin for a finish that feels indulgent but still precise. At IDR 199K++, it is a drink and dessert in one, and a perfect way to experience Takumi’s playful side.

The Bar by Takumi is not about being seen. It is about being well served, well poured, and quietly impressed.

District One

District One is very much one of those if you know you know spots in Seminyak. Hidden above Bo & Bun and tucked away from the noise of the main street, it feels like a quiet discovery rather than a place you simply walk into. The room is dim, elegant, and slightly mysterious, built for long conversations, late hours, and cocktails that deserve your full attention.

This is a bar that takes its drinks seriously, with a menu shaped around classic foundations and careful technique. If you are a Negroni lover, Negroni No.1 is non-negotiable. It is aged for 14 days in a sherry barrel, then finished with smoked cherry wood, giving it a depth and softness that turns a familiar cocktail into something far more layered. The bitterness is beautifully rounded, the aroma gently smoky, and the finish long and satisfying.

District One is not about rushing through rounds. It is about settling in, ordering well, and letting the night unfold at its own pace. For those who appreciate craft, atmosphere, and drinks done properly, it remains one of Seminyak’s best-kept secrets.

Sunset Park at Desa Potato Head

Sunset Park is one of Seminyak’s best places to drink well while watching the sky change colour. Sitting high above Desa Potato Head, the rooftop pairs ocean views with a cocktail list that takes sustainability seriously without sacrificing flavour. The bar works around Potato Head’s zero-waste philosophy, turning citrus peels, herbs, and leftovers into syrups, ferments, and garnishes that give the drinks real depth.

The cocktails lean tropical but never sugary. The Tropical Island Martini delivers a punchy mix of pineapple and spice, while Red Sky at Night has become our go-to pre-dinner ritual, balanced, aromatic, and easy to keep sipping. Even the no-alcohol options feel considered, with the Kaffir Mint offering bright, refreshing flavours rather than a simple mocktail.

What makes Sunset Park special is how relaxed it feels for a rooftop. You can dress up or come straight from the beach, order something interesting, and settle in without any pressure. It is the kind of place that turns a single sunset drink into a long, very good evening.
